Happy Mother's Day!

When I stopped to think about I wanted to write about on, this, my first Mother's Day, I got to thinking not about me and how I feel about being a new mom, but about my mom.

She provided me with all the love and support a girl needs to pass on to her daughter! She played peek-a-boo with me just like she does with Isabella. She changed my diapers and gently brushed my hair. She bathed me and fed me even when she was so tired it hurt to move.

These may not seem like important, life-changing things, but looking back, that's what each moment was. She showed, and continues to show me, in each action that she loves me above all else. That is the best gift any child can receive.

So on this Mother's Day, as we receive our flowers and cards and tokens of appreciation, I hope each of us takes a minute to say Thank You to the most influential, most loving and hardest worker in our lives - our Mom!

Happy Mother's Day to all you moms, grandmas and godmoms - all of you make a difference every day in the lives of those you love!

And to my Mom - Thanks for loving me and for always being there. And thanks for showing me how to be a great mom to Isabella!

Dearest Jennifer,
I didn't read this post until now, Monday, after I got home from work, and after I had it read to me by your sister, who was tearing up (as I was, too, listening to her) while reading this lovely tribute that all mothers would appreciate to hear from their children. Thank you so very much! I feel that I am one of the lucky ones to have two sweet and loving daughters that made my job so much easier,(you were both such good and happy babies)- and lots of fun! That's not to say we didn't (and still don't) have our share of "challenges" - but we continue to get through them. My own mother, who I miss so very much, was the best loving and supportive role model anyone could ever hope for. If I can even come the slightest bit close to measure up to her, then I have been truly blessed! And now you know, my sweet daughter, what it feels like to love a child of your own, and how there is nothing in this world you wouldn't do to make her feel loved and safe. I am so happy that Isabella has you as her mother. I can see that you were meant for each other; a true and loving bond has developed so quickly, and that's the best Mother's Day present anyone could hope for!

Love you always,
Mom

Dearest Jennifer, Kevin, and Isabella,

Since I am not at all "computer savy," I have not kept us very updated on the happenings in your lives. What a beautiful family you are!

Mr. Stoll and I looked for you at the Baptism for Jakob! Regina and Randy told us you would be at the Baptism and the party following. We were disappointed to learn that you were not able to be there and we were saddened and shocked to hear of your recent surgery and complications.

We don't know how we were missed on the prayer chain, but we just want you to know that we are praying for you and all of your families.

Your Mother's Day comments were so heart-warming. Thank you for being such a special Mommy, yourself!

Always in Jesus' love and ours,
Mr. and Mrs. Stoll

P.S. I haven't been on the computer for a few days and just read a prayer chain email update from Mr. and Mrs. DeFrange. God Bless.

We will be calling Grandpa and Grandma Kramer today. What a blessing each of you are to one another!
