Leave my hair alone!

Anytime anyone tries to pull Isabella's hair out of her face, she pulls out the rubberbands, berets or scrunchies. The hair accessories end up on the floor, behind the couch, in the vacuum and in her mouth. Plus, she's such a wiggle worm that pulling her hair up turns into a speed tournament between you and anything Isabella has in her eye's view.

I'm trying to convince Kevin, with the help of other family members, to let a hairdresser cut bangs so Isabella can see. While hair in her eyes doesn't seem to bother her much, it drives me crazy! Your thoughts???

Give me that phone

Isabella really likes talking on the phone. Whether it's grabbing at anyone's cell phone and telephone or chatting it up with her imaginary friend 'George' on one of her many toy phones, she's a chatty Kathy at her young age. She's even gone as far as to approach a man in a restaurant and lift his cell phone from his belt buckle. Talk about embarrassing!

I'll cry if I want too

Isabella has developed a very independent personality. She HATES being told 'No' and will throw tantrums of all kinds to try to get her way. Welcome to the terrible twos - seven months early!

Paige's 1st Birthday party

Isabella has lots of friends. One of her closest is Paige Dowler, daughter of Tracy and Seth Dowler. Tracy and I met in fifth grade and have been friends since. We vacationed with each other's families growing up; we were in each other's weddings; now our daughter's a playing together! Paige celebrated her first birthday Sept. 30 with more than 40 people. She was born Oct. 5, 2005.

Playing with my grandmas and grandpas

Isabella loves playing with Grandma & Grandpa K and Grandma & Grandpa G. Few people can comfort and make her laugh like her grandparents.

We're back and better - well not yet!

Welcome back bloggers or should I welcome myself back?!

After weeks away for rest and recuperation, I'm back home with Isabella, Kevin, Kalli and Molly! And with you!

A lot has happened since I've last posted, and I'm going to try to catch everyone up on our lives at the Kramer house. While I'm STILL recovering from mono, I'm slowly regaining my energy with hopes of a clean blood test by the end of the year. Then we can go forward with the surgery to remove the cyst in my neck - if necessary. According to my ENT, I may be able to hold off on the surgery if the cyst has decreased in size. No pain in my neck lately so I'm hoping this is the case. A CT scan on Dec. 18 will confirm the diagnosis.

Isabella is growing so fast as you will see in future posts on lots of pictures. She's running all over the house, climbing EVERYTHING (including the baby gate and crib rails), says new words every day (diaper, stop, thank you, doctor, doggy, kitty, stop, hot, to name a few) and loves playing with her puppies. Her favorite shows are Dora the Explorer and the Backyardigans. She has a ton of Backyardigans toys and adores her stuffed Tyrone and Pablo characters.
She had her first real illness late October when she caught Rotavirus, a horrible stomach virus that causes constant diarrhea and vomiting. She only has the vomiting for one day but suffered from diarrhea and stomach cramps for two weeks before the Rotavirus turned to viral diarrhea which lasted another two weeks. Her bottom was so raw we even called Children's Hospital to ask how we could make her more comfortable. After two doctor's visits and a few prescriptions, she's feeling better - but then the teeth popped through. She's cutting eight new teeth all at once so her guns are red and swollen. Needless to say, nighttime sleeping has been a challenge and most naptimes are a fight because she's so fussy. Orajel and Motrin only work so well.

Kevin has been a trooper through all this, working 40+ hours a week, taking care of the house and dogs, and traveling back and forth to my parent's house every day to visit. Now that Isabella and I are home, I think he has had a lot of stress lifted from his shoulders.

Check out the newest posts that will cover the past eight weeks complete with photos in the next few days.

My neighbors

Isabella loves playing with neighbors Matt, Andrea and Bean!

Now that's tired!

Happy 1st Birthday - 3 months late

We celebrated Isabella's 1st birthday yesterday with more than 100 friends and family. Born June 8, 2005, Isabella turned 15 months and one day old yesterday. Because of my early summer hospital stay, we had to postpone her first party so yesterday's bash was a celebration for all! Thanks to all of you who helped make the party so special for us!

Our California Adventure

We had such an adventure in California that we had to share some of our favorite moments with all of you. We spent a lot of time hanging out with Uncle John and Aunt Becki at their beautiful home enjoying some wonderful homecooked meals, but we got out some, too!

Here we come!

Daddy I want to buy eveything! Why is it so expensive?

Why can't I eat the sand?

The famous Chinese Theatre in Hollywood
The water is so cold!
